The CAT exam is divided into three portions and consists of 66 questions in total. There are 24 questions in the VARC (Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension) segment, 22 in the QA (Quantitative Ability) section, and 20 in the DILR (Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning) section. Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning, Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension, and Quantitative Ability are the three components of the CAT Exam. The old CAT design included 100 questions and 180 minutes, however, in the last two years, the number of questions in the CAT exam has been lowered to 76 in 2020 and subsequently 66 in 2021, with the time limit cut to 120 minutes.
